Chapter 2

Selena's face turned pale, and she screamed as she struggled, "Eugene, you can't touch me, you can't!" If two years ago, when she still was still dreaming like an innocent little girl, she was willing to give herself to him, but now, she has clearly seen his hatred toward the Pei family. How could she still possibly allow him to touch her? Selena was dragged all the way through the bedroom door and she was thrown heavily on the bed, the luxurious king-size mattress bounced her up. The smoky gray sheets set off her figure in a big red pleated skirt. She lay there, like a colorful oil painting, instantly igniting Eugene's blood. Eugene gradually approached her, staring at her graceful body, his phoenix eyes were stained with fiery heat. At this moment, even he himself didn't know whether he was still acting upon his revenge or something else. In short, when he saw her lost in the study, a feeling of strong possessiveness engulfed his heart. This woman, he wanted her. Even if he hated her, he wanted to possess her. Just as Selena struggled to get up, she was heavily pushed back on the bed by Eugene. Eugene's clear breath brushed past her face. She stared at the magnified handsome face in front of her with wide eyes. As she was about to scream for help, her voice was suddenly blocked by his lips on her mouth. Selena's muffled yell was sharp as her hands tightly gripped the bed sheet under her body, and her pink nails were chipped off due to the force. That night, Eugene tormented Selena and did not know how many times she fainted. Every time Selena resisted him, the more he forced himself on her, causing a deeper pain to sweep through her body. Early in the morning, the first ray of light shone through the curtain and into the bedroom. Selena opened her eyes in the bright light. Her whole body was in severe pain and her limbs felt like they've been rammed over by a truck. Selena felt that if she could open her eyes in the morning, then that could only be regarded as her destiny. Supporting her aching body, Selena dressed herself up and went out. Today was the 60th birthday of her father, and she must rush back to help her father with his birthday celebration. Although married to Eugene and helping the Pei family solve the crisis two years ago, no one in the Pei family cared about her except for her father. The reason was that when Selena was born, a fortune-teller said that she was full of misfortunes. It seemed that as a verification to this sentence, not long before Selena was born, her brother, who was two years older than her, died. Then her father suffered a serious illness. Although he was barely cured, he fell ill with gout. In addition to this, the Pei family's business was plummeting, so the Pei family really regarded her as unlucky. Perhaps, two years ago, they sent her out with the intent of sending away her jinxed fortune. She hadn't forgotten it, at that time, her grandma said that she hoped that after she married Eugene, she would send Eugene to his death. What kind of family could say such a thing? Selena wanted to cry, but at the same time, she also wanted to laugh. She could almost understand why her sister Sandra committed suicide by swallowing pills five years ago. Selena's face was slightly pale. She took out the powder puff from her handbag to cover up the sickness on her face. Soon, she arrived at the Pei's house, and the cars parked outside their house were all luxurious, showing their social status and identity.
