He Is Fly as F*ck (1)

The people inside the private room were cheerfully eating and chatting away. When the door was opened from outside, they all turned to see who has entered. "Mr. Lu?" Simon Wang was quite surprised to see the new guest, but he immediately greeted him with a smile. Theodore Chao, however, couldn't hide his shock. He did not expect James Lu to appear at all. Not only that, why was he with Elizabeth Liang? God, they're holding hands! Recalling what had happened in the lobby just now, he couldn't help but frown. What on earth was their relationship? James quickly scanned the room and smiled lightly. "Mr. Wang, do you mind two more guests?" Elizabeth looked at the two people in the room. She did not know Simon Wang, but when she saw Theodore sitting there and looking at her and James with a face of utter surprise and confusion, she understood James's intention. The reason why he took her to a stylist before coming here——to let Theodore know that he's worse without her, while she's so much better off than she's ever been before, with a man who treasured her even more. Simon was delighted to hear James's question, with a big smile on his face. He had been trying to meet James for six months. He was originally planning to negotiate a joint project between their respective companies, but every time Simon has reached out to James, he was always carelessly turned down by the latter's assistant saying: "the investment is not worth the reward, Mr.Lu is not interested." He had no choice but to settle for less by meeting with Theodore Chao. The Chao Company was doing rather well, and he had heard the news of the engagement between Theodore Chao and Josephine Liang. That was why... But now, James had taken the initiative to meet him, so of course Simon was delighted. After all, Lu Enterprises was in the global top 50. "I am incredibly honored to meet you, Mr. Lu." Simon stood up, "Please come in Mr. Lu." James nodded, then elegantly strode into the room with Elizabeth's hand in his. "Who is this beauty, Mr. Lu?" Simon Wang was so focused on James that he only just now saw Elizabeth. His eyes flashed with awe when he saw her. James chivalrously pulled out a chair for Elizabeth. After she sat down and he had also taken a seat himself, James finally answered Simon, "Elizabeth Liang." Nothing less, nothing more. Elizabeth's parents had passed away ten years ago. Over the years, she refused to participate in socialite gatherings and devoted herself to her studies, so almost no one in the outside world knew that she was actually the only daughter of the Liang Company. Looking at how James acted towards Elizabeth, it was obvious that there was something going on between them. "I am glad to meet you Miss Liang!" Elizabeth had to greet him as well. "Nice to meet you." Theodore looked at the woman sat across the table. Maybe men were just all the same, but when he saw her with James, Theodore felt as if there was a heavyweight on his heart. After all, she was the girl he had cherished for so many years. He had always loved her because she was a simple and lovely girl. She looked especially stunning today. Had she ever made the effort to look like this when they were together? Thinking about it, Theodore couldn't help but feel jealousy bubbling inside him. Simon was actually pondering ulterior motives, but after seeing James's actions, he dared not anymore. He showered her with flattery, "Miss Liang is gorgeous! If you were in my company, I swear you would take off overnight!" Simon owned an entertainment agency. He had earned a good reputation in the industry over the years. Hearing this, James joked with a half-smile, "Mr. Wang, are you suggesting that I, James Lu, can't even provide for a woman, and need her to be in the limelight?" Then he turned to Theodore, who was sitting diagonally across and has been looking unhappy since their entrance, and asked, "Am I right, Master Chao?" Even Elizabeth knew what he meant. His words were solely directed towards Theodore since Josephine was exactly a public figure who had to "be in the limelight". Theodore was extremely embarrassed to hear that. James's words were like a ruthless slap in his face! He bit his cheek but could not retort. Simon's face changed at James's words, then he quickly smiled and said, "It's all my bad Mr. Lu, I'll take a shot to make up for my stupid choice of words." Working in the entertainment industry, he's met all kinds of people over the years. He's learned what to say and do when it comes to people. "Oh it's not that serious Mr. Wang!" James fiddled with the plates in front of him. "I am pleased to see you today. Why don't we order some more drinks to celebrate the occasion?" "Well..." Simon looked at Theodore. "Master Chao?" Theodore smiled lightly and glanced at Elizabeth across him. "If Mr. Lu and Mr. Wang would like to, why should I ruin the mood?" "Oh, so Master Chao is our host today." James put on a surprised expression as if he only just knew about the fact, then pointedly said, "Since Master Chao has been lucky in love AND business, I won't hold back then." As he spoke, he pressed the call button on the table. After a while, the waiter came in. James gave a generous order, "Go and bring us two bottles of 1982 Lafite." Then he smiled and turned to Elizabeth next to him. "Didn't you say you were hungry? The food is all cold now, I don't think it tastes good anymore." Elizabeth was already stunned when she heard him order two bottles of Lafite. Now she could only stare at James blankly. James raised his eyebrows and continued, "I want all the most expensive dishes in your restaurant. Oh and also, I heard that you've just received Kobe beef from Japan today, I want that too, give me the largest portion!" Simon was taken aback. "Mr. Lu, this..." James was clearly helping the Grand Dynasty Hotel rip off their customer! On the other hand, Theodore's head was buzzing. He felt as if he was about to stop breathing. The Grand Dynasty Hotel offered the best cuisine, but the price was never cheap. As for the two boxes of Lafite... James was very satisfied to see Theodore's face from the corner of his eye. He cut off Simon's sentence by saying flippantly, "Mr. Wang, I've given some thought to the joint project you had offered before. I think it would be rather worthwhile. What do you think?" Simon stopped speaking. After all, he couldn't afford to offend someone like James. Moreover, it was a jaw-dropping amount of money, but at least it wasn't his. Self-preservation is the first law of nature, and it is the wise man's nature! The chefs of the Grand Dynasty Hotel were indeed world-class. Not only were they fabulous cooks, but they were also staggeringly fast. In less than thirty minutes, the huge table for twenty was covered in various exquisite and delicious dishes of food. The Lafite had also arrived. James swirled the wine in his glass and casually said to the waiter, "Open them, pour them all into decanters."
