Don't Worry, I'm Here

James Lu usually hated waiting. But for some reason, he was being very patient today. He flipped through a fashion magazine with great interest as he sat on the sofa in the waiting room. There were a few others in the room, but he was definitely the most eye-catching. He only sat there upright, but his incomparably handsome face made him look like a painting. "Mr. Lu, we're done!" The stylist came out first and hurriedly pulled open the curtain behind her. Elizabeth Liang, who has been dressed up from head to toe, appeared before James. James looked up casually but was stunned the moment he saw Elizabeth. Her dress, shoes, accessories, makeup and hair were all coordinated in harmony. Elizabeth had on her a long white fishtail gown. She was in very good shape, and the dress perfectly outlined the curves on her body. She looked shapely yet not immodest, and somehow youthfully innocent. The stylist put on her the trendiest style of makeup, it was light but wonderfully pretty. Her long black hair was gathered behind her head in a simple updo, and a small strand of curled hair dangled from each side of her face, making her look beautiful and radiant. "Will this do, Mr. Lu?" James, who was still looking in awe, immediately came to himself when he heard the stylist. He awkwardly coughed and nodded. Was the person standing in front of him really Elizabeth Liang? He admitted that Elizabeth was quite beautiful in a graceful way, but he didn't expect her to become prettier the more he looked at her. Her big glistening eyes stood out in particular, they were so expressive he felt as if they spoke to him. James had only seen Elizabeth without makeup all this time. Now that she was all dolled up along with her hair and makeup, she was breathtaking to behold. Noticing his silence, Elizabeth nervously squeezed the sides of the dress and said, "Um... does it look weird?" It was her first time wearing a dress like this. Not only was the dress uncomfortably tight, she couldn't help but feel as if she wasn't wearing anything. The dress was beautiful, but the fabric in front of her chest felt like it was going to slip at any moment. "Not bad." James stood up, walked up to her, and looked her up and down. His eyes became more intense. "Ahem..." F*ck... she's hot. "Are you sure it's not weird?" She pulled the dress up a bit. "Let's go. We're having dinner, aren't we?" ****** The second floor of the Grand Dynasty Hotel was solely used for dining. It was divided into numerous uniquely-decorated and luxurious private rooms. Besides the top grade interior design, the cuisine was also well-renowned throughout A City. Many powerful and influential people in A City enjoy dining here. However, whether they'd manage to actually reserve a room or not was an entirely different matter. James stood outside one of the private rooms with Elizabeth. When he was about to push open the door, he remembered something and grabbed her. He held her small and pale hand, the warmth of his wide palm pressed against hers. Elizabeth felt as if her hand was burning from the heat. Theodore Chao used to hold her hand like this too but never made her feel this nervous yet excited. She tried to break free, but he tightened his grasp. "Don't move!" "..." She didn't even know who she was seeing. Was it really a good idea to let him drag her in like this? "When we're in there, just eat. Don't worry about anything else." "But..." He seemed to have noticed her unease, and in a rare event, comforted her. "Don't worry, I'm here."
