CHAPTER 141
The packs house...
Hazel sat on her bed, bored to her brain and desperately missing her mate Ives.
It had been a few days now since he had left her for a business trip in the northern borderlands, and she was starting to get anxious for him, but she knew that he would be alright. He always was.
Her mate was strong and resourceful and clever. If anyone could survive out there without a gun, it was him.
She decided to take a walk to the gardens to clear her head.
The sun shone down warmly through the trees, giving the air a slightly crisp smell of spring. The gardens were one of the few places in the castle where it truly felt like spring.
The trees gave an airy touch and everything looked fresh. Hazel loved this place. She felt safe here. It wasn't quite as lonely as other parts of the castle, and that was good enough for her.
She walked towards the rosebushes, looking around and breathing deeply. The roses reminded her of Ives, which made her heart ache just thin
