CHAPTER 140
Their private jet landed at the airport. Ives sighed out and stretched his leg, dropping the magazine he was reading as the doors came open.
He had been up for hours through out the journey and he didn't even feel tired. Instead, his mind was full of thoughts. Things he'd rather not be thinking about; things which could potentially ruin the mission that he was going to get himself out of by simply being distracted.
His eyes turned to Evans who was already on his feet, looking a little more stern than he usually looked but otherwise composed.
Ives gave him a nod in acknowledgement and followed him out.
They were met by a uniformed man with dark hair, probably late twenties or early thirties. He nodded at them both and they entered the car readied for them.
The driver started up and pulled out from the airport, heading south towards their destination.
Ives found himself staring out the window, taking in the scenery while his mind kept drifting back to the task at hand.
