"Get in!" Liam barked, shoving Maeve into the bedroom.
Maeve stumbled a few steps, nearly losing her balance. Turning to Liam with a mock expression of outrage, she asked, "Mr. Larson, is this really necessary?"
Throughout their return journey, Liam had been silent. But as soon as they arrived at the Larson Estate, his demeanor changed abruptly.
With a cold glare, Liam said, "If it weren't for your usefulness, you'd be long gone."

Seeing her relaxed demeanor, Liam's anger turned into a grim smile. "You truly have no sense of propriety."
"I played the piano today, and my fingers are nearly wrecked. It's just a glass of wine, Mr. Larson. Don't be so petty."
