Chapter 17
Simona tightened her grip on the bottle. Biting her lips, she didn't say anything, put the bottle away, stood up and bowed slightly. "Please enjoy yourself."
"Miss Flores, don't leave. We haven't seen each other for so many years. Would you like to have a drink with me?"
As he spoke, Eric handed over a full cup of Clarke's's Court Spicy Rum and raised his hand to Simona, with an indescribable smile on his face.
Over the years, there had been so many people who had hit her when she was down. She had already been trained to be invulnerable to swords and spears.
But when she saw the full cup of Clarke's Court Spicy Rum, she couldn't help clenching her fists.
Simona lowered her head and looked at the colorful bottles on the table. Biting her lips, she stared at Jeremy for a long time and said, "Mr Bridges, if I get drunk, my salary will be deducted."
Her voice was very light. In a bar full of heavy metal music, her words were scattered as soon as the light came.
But even so, everyone present heard it clearly.
On that day, when she saw the Miss Flores, she always looked down upon them with disdain. Today, she whispered to ask him if she was drunk or not and if she was drunk, her salary wouldn't be deducted.
She lowered her head. The dim light in the bar fell on her. Matthew could only see her straight nose and her brush like long eyelashes.
His eyes fell on her. He just watched the dilemma of the two best friends coldly.
Eric imitated her tone and said to Jeremy, "Mr Bridges, just say yes!"
Simona's face turned pale. She could feel her hands trembling.
Sure enough, every dog has its day.
She had been too high-profile in the past. Now she was reduced to a situation where anyone could trample on her head freely.
Did she feel bad?
No, compared to the pain, money was the most practical thing. Without money, how could she pay the more than 10000 medical fees.
This society was so realistic. She was too naive in the past, so she was so unscrupulous.
Jeremy looked up at her with a smile, "I won't deduct your salary."
With Jeremy's assurance, Simona raised her head and smiled at him. She took over the Clarke's's Court Spicy Rum from Eric's hand, which was full of wine. With a smile, she said, "I propose a toast to you, my lady."
“Simona!”
As soon as the cup was put to her mouth, she was stopped by a Spencer who suddenly appeared.
He reached out and pulled her behind him. Looking at the three men in the seat, he sneered, "three gentlemen, why do you have to embarrass a woman?"
He had been staring at Simona. He had seen that she was stopped by the three men in front of her, but they didn't take any action. It was not appropriate for him to stand out rashly, so he had to wait and see.
It was not until he saw the large glass of Clarke's's Court Spicy Rum that he realized whether he could tell the difference between the East and the west after drinking such a large glass of Clarke's's Court Spicy Rum.
Simona didn't expect that Spencer would suddenly appear. She tugged at the corner of Spencer's clothes and comforted him in a soft voice, "please go back. I can solve it."
She knew what kind of person Eric was. He wouldn't give up easily. If she didn't drink today, they would find fault with her and make trouble for her. She couldn't escape. Maybe she could drink it all for once.
As soon as she finished speaking, she walked out from behind Spencer. As soon as she raised her head, she happened to meet Matthew's gaze. She couldn't help but freeze, and her eyes were so cold that she couldn't help trembling.
