Chapter 16
"Table four."
The bar counter had already placed the wine ordered by table four. When Simona returned with a tray, she saw a pile of expensive wine and felt her hand a little heavy.
If she fell down, she couldn't afford the wine with a month's salary.
"Sir..."
When she saw clearly the people at table four, the smile on Simona's face froze.
She didn't expect to meet Matthew in such a bar.
"Simona, don't be silly. Hurry up."
Hearing Jeremy's voice, she smiled apologetically and gently put the tray on the table.
There were only Matthew and Jeremy in the booth, and a man who stared at her with a creepy smile.
"Matthew, do you think Simona looks familiar?"
Jeremy looked at Simona with a faint smile. Her words made Simona's hand, which was pouring the wine, shake a little. A small part of the wine spilled on the man who was staring at her with a smile.
Pursing her lips, Simona looked up at the man and said, "Sir, I'm sorry. I'll clean it for you."
She squatted there, her feet trembling.
Matthew was holding a glass of whiskey, and the tea colored liquid swayed with his movements. She felt that her forehead was full of sweat.
Her hands holding the duster cloth were trembling. Simona finally remembered that Jeremy had met her eight years ago.
At that time, Jeremy was standing behind Matthew. When he saw her, he teased her and winked at her.
At that time, she was very arrogant. Moreover, she didn't like Matthew at all. She just sneered at him and then turned away arrogantly.
But he didn't expect that they would meet in such a state after so many years.
Simona smiled palely, "well, I'm sorry, sir."
When she raised her head and saw the pair of deep black eyes, she froze and quickly looked away.
Matthew drank up the whiskey in his glass and looked at Simona who was looking away. He put the empty glass on the table and said coldly, "I don't know her."
Jeremy just smiled. Looking at Simona, who was lowering her head and opening the glass, he raised his eyebrows slightly and said, "really? I think she looks familiar. What do you think, Eric?"
Eric Sheeran withdrew his sight, looked at Jeremy and said with a smile, "she looks familiar."
Simona held her hands tightly. She knew that the three men were her best friends. Although she didn't know Matthew well, she had seen the two men waiting for Matthew at the gate of the villa many times at home.
She couldn't figure it out. She didn't know Jeremy or hear of him, but she always felt that she had seen him somewhere. It was not until she saw the three of them together today that she remembered that she had seen too many such scenes.
She didn't know why Jeremy hired her, but she needed money. Even if he hired her just for fun like today, she didn't care.
For so many years, she was no longer the Simona who arrogantly pointed at other people's nose and asked if you knew who I was.
Life taught her to endure, but reality taught her to bend.
"Matthew, do you remember it wrong? I think I have met her somewhere." Eric frowned at Matthew, and then he suddenly realized, "Oh, why is this face so familiar to me? Isn't this the Miss Flores of that year?"
