Chapter 11
The smile on Simona's face froze when she saw the black Benz in front of her.
Matthew leaned against the car, his left leg supporting his whole body straight, and his right leg twirled casually. There was a cigarette between his right index finger and middle finger, and his slightly lowered head made it hard to see his expression clearly.
“Simona——”
Obviously, Maria recognized the man. She had thought that it was better for Simona to be with him than with others. But when she rushed in last night and saw Simona lying on the broken glass, she wished she was the one who had been left behind.
Feeling that Maria's hand holding her hand tightened a little, Simona turned around and smiled at Maria. "You can go back first."
“Simona!”
Maria looked at her and almost cried. She didn't know why Simona could smile when she was in such a situation. If it was her, she would have cried.
Simona knew what Maria was worried about, but she didn't want anyone to be involved in the matter between her and Matthew. She raised her hand and tucked Maria's messy hair behind her ears. "Don't worry. I'll be fine. I promise you."
"No, I feel terrible to keep you here last night. Simona, that man is a psychopath. Can I stay with you?"
Maria looked at her and was about to cry.
Looking at Maria, Simona also felt a little uncomfortable, but not far away, Matthew had noticed what was happening here and looked up at her.
She couldn't see Matthew's eyes clearly from a distance, but she knew that it wouldn't be good.
"Maria, I know him. You can leave now."
Maria was slightly stunned, but she was still worried. "But -"
She knew what Matthew was capable of. She was too naive in the past and didn't expect that she would end up like this. If Matthew knew that Maria was the person she cared about, Maria would definitely not be able to escape his torture.
She didn't want to get her involved, so she begged in a low voice, "please, I beg you!"
Maria bit her lips and nodded, "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow."
Simona breathed a sigh of relief, "okay."
Watching Maria's receding figure step by step out of her sight, Simona slowly withdrew her sight and walked towards Matthew not far away.
She stood a few meters away from him and didn't say anything. She looked down at her pointed mouth.
Matthew took a look at her, took a sip of the cigarette, and then threw the rest of the cigarette into the trash can not far away. He looked up at her coldly and said, "Simona, do you think if Richard sees you like this, will he be pissed off to death by you?"
Matthew had just been released from prison. He only knew that the Flores family had gone bankrupt, but he didn't know that Richard was so angry that he was paralyzed.
Simona's face turned pale. Under the dim street lamp, her white face was covered with sweat.
She tugged at the corner of her clothes and looked up at him calmly. "What's up?"
Her attitude was very light. She could neither see any impatience nor feel any pain. Matthew's heart was blocked, but he suddenly laughed. He pinched her chin and leaned to her ear. "I'm just telling you that everything has just begun."
Matthew was so close to Simona that she could smell the blood in his breath.
Looking at the back of Matthew's car, Simona stood still and felt a chill spreading from the soles of her feet to her whole body, which made her tremble involuntarily.
