I turned my head and smiled at George. "I am a grown-up, and you should grow up. Out with it if you are worried about me. Don't beat around the bush." George's lips moved, but they didn't make a sound in the end.  I took Carroll by the arm, got in the car, and headed toward the town.  There was a county fair every Monday, Thursday, and Sunday.  The fair was crowded. Pointing to the fair outside the car window, I said, "The croissant there is great. "The seller is a benign old woman. When the fair was over, she would distribute the bread, left, to the poor children. "The cheese in that shop is yummy, and I tried it only once.  "At the end of that road is a shop selling caramel apples..." There had been few chances for me to eat those snacks I mentioned as I was poor.  Realizing this problem, I felt down, and my fingers on the car window became feeble.  After one glance at me, Carroll ordered, "Pull over now. Kelly wants to go to the fair." "May I? Can I? Really?" I immediately perked up
