Chapter 19 He Started To Distance Himself
Caitlyn's POV
Before, I barely spoke to Blake. Our interactions were just the occasional teacher-student exchanges during class.
It wasn't until I asked him to help me with some training that we started talking more.
"Must be nice," Blake said, grilling the fish.
"Yes, it's nice. He's very good to me," I said with a smile, my mind wandering back to Raymond. His strong, handsome face flashed in my mind, and my heart skipped a beat just thinking about him.
I could feel my face and ears starting to heat up.
"What about you? Have you met your mate yet?" I quickly changed the subject.
Blake shook his head with a slight, resigned smile, his eyes briefly clouded with something I couldn't quite place.
"It'll happen soon, Blake. I'm sure of it," I said, giving his shoulder a reassuring pat, thinking he must be disappointed by not having found his mate yet.
The sky was getting darker.
"What are you doing here?" A deep voice broke the silence.
I turned and saw Raymond stan
