Chapter 8 The Man Wanted to Harm Her
"Yes, yes, yes."
Feeling the man's cold aura, she felt so close to death for the first time.
"Of course I do. But, how can I prove it?" Josie nodded.
"Very good."
The cold frost on Myron's cold face faded away, and his thin lips curved into a faint arc.
He leaned close to her ear, and the gushing breath stirred the hair on her neck, which was limp and numb, making Josie feel a chill on her back.
After waiting for a few seconds, she heard the man say, "I have a way to solve this once and for all."
"What... what method?"
"That is..."
He seemed to be teasing her. Only when he noticed that the little woman was extremely nervous did he say, "Die!"
"... Die?"
Josie was so scared that she retreated. She bumped into the sofa behind her and fell down. She looked at Myron blankly. "No, no... I don't want that."
She would never agree.
"Myron, are you a devil?"
Josie, who had always been strong, could not help but be frightened.
Before this, she did not know Myron's identity, but now that she knew, she was even more afraid.
This man had the ability to crush everything.
Killing her was as simple as stepping on an ant.
Myron snorted and dialed a number. "Charles, you immediately..."
"No, no, no!"
Without waiting for Myron to finish speaking, Josie suddenly stood up, snatched his phone away and hung up the phone. She shouted angrily and aggrievedly, "Why? How can you do this just because you have money?"
Reality proved that there was no point in pretending to be an innocent and pitiful little white rabbit in front of this man.
Because this bastard was simply a cold-blooded animal.
"Whether I can or not, you'll see."
Myron snatched the phone from her hand, bypassed her, and directly left.
"Don't go!"
Josie grabbed Myron's hand and knelt on the ground with a bang. She said with tears in her voice, "Young Master Quigley, you can't do this. I don't know whether I am pregnant or not, but if I am pregnant, I will definitely abort it."
In order to save her life, Josie couldn't care less about anything else.
What dignity! It was worthless.
"Just now you looked indignant, and now you are kneeling and begging for mercy? Tell me, which version of you should I believe?" The man pinched her chin.
"Young Master Quigley, let's be honest. I was drugged by your grandmother, and then you slept with me. I am the victim, so why should I bear the consequences?"
She was very angry.
She looked pitiful just now. But now she was kneeling on the ground and looking extremely angry. Her ever-changing emotions aroused Myron's interest.
"Because I have money."
He returned her original words to her.
Myron took out a tissue and wiped the hand that had pinched her chin as if he felt it was very dirty.
He threw the tissue into the trash can and turned to leave.
"Young Master Quigley?"
"Master Quigley? We should talk."
"Hey, Myron, don't go."
"Myron, you are a bastard, a scumbag!"
Seeing the man walk out of the living room without looking back, Josie could not help but curse.
Then she got up and sat on the sofa, patted the non-existent dust on her knees, and muttered, "You shameless man."
The elevator door closed and the man left.
Josie sat on the sofa and reached out to touch the phone on her body to call Madam Quigley, but then she found that the signal was blocked.
"I can't sit still and wait for death."
Josie's mind was full of thoughts, wondering how to escape from here.
She got up and looked around the floor and found that there were only elevators and locked doors at the end of the corridor.
Outside the door of the living room, there were two burly bodyguards.
Josie walked around inside and finally went to the bedroom. She took out a lighter and wrapped it with a roll of toilet paper and a mop. She lit it and aimed it at the smoke detector.
In just a second, the spray system started and began to spray water.
From the bedroom to the side bedroom, to the kitchen, and the bathroom, everywhere was triggered and the alarms went off.
When she heard the alarm ring, she immediately put the mop in a corner and ran out of the bathroom.
"What's going on?"
"Where is the fire?"
Two bodyguards rushed in with panic on their faces.
"I don't know... It's too scary..." Josie shook her head.
"Old Six, look over there. I'll look over here."
"Okay."
The two bodyguards immediately ran inside to check on the situation.
Josie was secretly delighted. She immediately ran out of the living room, pressed open the private elevator on the 38th floor, and went down.
After escaping from the nightclub, she hailed a taxi and left immediately.
"Sir, go to Shengde Hospital. Forget it, let's go to Lakeview Villa."
She originally wanted to go to Shengde Hospital to find her adoptive parents, but now she decided to go to Lakeview villa to get money from the Lewis family and then leave Langi City with her adoptive parents.
When she donated her bone marrow to the Lewis family's youngest son, her biological father promised to give her 50,000 yuan as compensation when they left Langi City.
Josie disdained to take his money, but now there was no other choice.
She did not get her salary. The only 5000 she had was spent on Myron. She wanted to take her adoptive parents back to the countryside and needed money.
Without money, it was difficult to move.
After more than half an hour, they arrived at Lakeview villa.
Josie got out of the car and walked to the door of the villa, pressing the doorbell.
After a while, the door of the villa opened, and Rowan, who was dressed well, looked at her and frowned, "Why are you here?"
Rowan, who was almost fifty years old, was wearing a sapphire blue shirt with a V-neck collar and a pair of black high waist pants. Because she usually took good care of herself, she looked young and had a good temperament.
She was Josie's biological mother.
"Where's Fabian? I need to talk to him."
Josie got straight to the point.
"How dare you say that? Did you just call him by his name?" Rowan looked at Josie with contempt.
Sometimes, Josie did not understand. She and Leah were clearly of the same mother. Why did they dislike her?
"I can't say his name?"
"Alright. Where's your husband? I have something to talk to him about." Josie sneered.
"You... hmm, you rude bumpkin. You don't have any manners at all."
Rowan was very angry with her.
"I have no parents to teach me. Why should I care about manners?"
Josie never thought that she would have such an attitude when she saw her biological parents.
