Chapter 7 Kidnapped
"Little Josie, you will stay in the grand house for two days and me company."
Madam Quigley said to Josie.
Josie knew that she had already offended Myron, and she did not want to bow down to the Lewis family for the sake of elevating her parents, so she could only rely on Madam Quigley now.
After all, Madam Quigley did not seem to have any hostility towards her.
"I don't understand. Why do you want me to accompany you?"
"Myron bullied you. He should be responsible for you. Stay in the grand house for a few days, so that I can get to know you more."
As she spoke, Madam Quigley remembered the problem that Josie was concerned about and said, "Your parents are already being treated by the best experts. I believe they will be fine soon."
Josie was very grateful and could not even repay her.
However, she could only comfort herself with the fact that she had saved Myron. She had saved him, and Madam Quigley had saved her adoptive parents. They were even.
"Thank you, Grandma."
She sincerely thanked her.
For the following three days, Josie accompanied Madam Quigley to practice Tai Chi in the morning. Every morning, they would also prune the flowers, and in the afternoon, they would make pastries or play chess.
Time passed very quickly when she had things to do.
On the morning of the fourth day, Josie packed up after eating. She carried her luggage downstairs and slightly nodded to Madam Quigley who was sitting on the sofa. "Grandma, I'm leaving. Thank you for your hospitality."
Madam Quigley stood up and walked in front of her. She smiled kindly. "You are an open-minded girl. Being with you makes me feel a lot younger."
In front of Josie, Madam Quigley did not have the slightest arrogance of a matriarch. Instead, she was more like a grandmother.
"Grandmother, you should stay young inside forever. I'm leaving now. Bye-bye."
"Ok, remember to come and see that old woman when you have time."
"Yeah... hehe... okay, grandmother."
Josie replied awkwardly.
Whether or not she could go to the grand house was not up to her.
Madam Quigley arranged for the driver to take her to the center of Langi City.
Passing by a pharmacy, she said to the driver, "Stop the car. I'll get off here."
The car stopped. She got off the car and said to the driver, "Please help me thank Grandma."
"Okay, Miss Murphy."
The driver responded and turned around to go back.
Josie carried her bag and trotted into the pharmacy. The staff immediately stepped forward and asked, "Hello, what medicine do you want to buy?"
"Help me get a box of the best birth control pill."
Josie anxiously said.
She had been staying at Quigley family's grand house for the past few days and had no chance to leave. Naturally, she could not buy the medicine.
Now that she was out, of course, she had to quickly buy the medicine and take it. Otherwise, if she really got pregnant, it would all be over.
The staff took a box of medicine and handed it to her, "This is the best one. Take within 72 hours."
"What did you say? 72 hours?" Josie took the medicine and turned to pay the bill.
"Yes, the sooner the better. It will be useless to take the medicine after three days."
"Only three days?"
"Yes."
Josie was dumbfounded.
Then, she looked down at the description of the medicine box. It said so as well. After three days, it was useless.
She had never used this before. She naively thought that the emergency pill could be used in a week.
No wonder Madam Quigley kept her in Quigley family for three days. It turned out to be this reason.
She returned the medicine to the pharmacist and walked out of the pharmacy with red eyes.
Walking alone on the street, she took a while to comfort herself. What was there to be afraid of? She could abort the child!
There was nothing to be afraid of!
Chi!
At this moment, a car by the roadside suddenly braked and stopped in front of her.
Before Josie could react, she had already been stuffed into the car.
"Hey, you... you... Who are you? How dare you kidnap me in broad daylight?"
She struggled a few times and warned, "Stop the car, hurry up and let me out of the car, or I will call the police."
"Miss Murphy, you better behave and don't cause trouble for yourself."
Suddenly, a familiar voice came from the driver's seat.
Josie tilted her head and stretched her neck to look over. She was surprised to find that the person in the driver's seat was Charles.
So, it was Myron who sent someone to kidnap her?
Sure enough, her good time was finished.
As soon as she left the Quigley family, Myron caught her.
"Charles, stop the car quickly, or I'll call Grandma to tell her."
"I advise you Miss Murphy to have some self-awareness."
Josie, "..."
So she should just give up?
Thinking that her parents were still in Quigley family's hospital, she did not dare to make any unnecessary struggles.
Ten minutes later, she was brought to Myron's private room on the 38th floor of the nightclub.
"Boss, Miss Murphy is here."
"I will leave now," Charles said as he brought Josie to Myron.
He turned around and left.
Josie held her bag tightly and looked at Myron, who was working with a laptop on his lap. His eyes were focused on the computer. His slender fingers danced on the keyboard. He was cold and had an innate aura of a superior. He was like a god who stood high in the clouds to judge all living things.
Especially that face, with its beautiful outline, and the three-dimensional facial features, it was like a perfect handicraft made by God. It was beautiful to the point of soul-stirring and flawless.
Even Josie, who was immune to beautiful men, could not help but take a few more glances.
"Have you seen enough?"
The man suddenly closed the computer and put it on the table, and then he said to her.
"I-I'm not looking at you!"
Josie curled the corners of her mouth.
The man dressed in a black shirt, with his sleeves rolled up to his elbow, stood up and stared at her fiercely. "Do you think you can be unscrupulous in front of me with Grandma backing you up?"
"No... no, absolutely not," Josie nervously swallowed her saliva as she faced the strong pressure.
"You're scared now. At the grand house the other day, didn't you that you would have my child and then marry me?"
This damned woman actually dared to provoke him.
Reckless.
"Hehehe..."
Josie's face paled slightly. She smiled bitterly and self-mockingly. Her steps involuntarily retreated. "Young Master Quigley, don't be angry. I was just joking that day. Hahaha, I was just joking."
She kept retreating, but Myron grabbed her collar. "I, Myron, hate being threatened the most. Congratulations, you did it."
Although he said congratulations, when Josie saw Myron's cold expression, it was as if she was looking at a corpse.
She was so scared that her heart almost jumped out of her throat. "Young Master Quigley, I was just joking."
It was too scary.
"Whether you were joking or not is not something you can prove with your mouth."
"Then... then... then how can I prove it?"
Josie, who was almost scared to death, stuttered.
"Do you really want to prove that what you said at the Quigley family's home was a joke?" Myron raised his ink-black eyebrows.
