For a while, none of them spoke. Eventually, Spencer broke the silence.
"You and the majority of people might think that I had raised Callie. Yet, for me, it was Callie who had kept me company for the past 11 years. You know how my parents have always been busy with work.
"Moreover, my older brother and I have an age gap of over ten years. I was mostly by myself throughout my childhood. Although I was given everything I needed while growing up, I always found myself feeling a bit lonely.
"I've known Callie since she was still young. She used to like following me around, and she was always so smart and adorable. I've brightened up a lot after knowing her.
"After that tragic incident, I felt sorry for Callie and decided to have her stay with me. In my heart, she's always been family to me."
