When Riley fished the phone out from the trash can, Spencer's face instantly fell. No one knew Callie's temperament better than him. If she had decided to let go, then she would definitely do so. Not even her parents would be able to change her mind, much less Spencer. He finally let go of the wishful thought that he had held on to, and his heart sank. There were all sorts of people at the airport. Some left hand in hand, and others waved each other goodbye. Spencer was the only one who stood there alone and unmoving, unable to decide his next course of actions. Was he to go back? But he wasn't ready to let go of her yet. Was he to go see her? But he was afraid of personally hearing her say that she'd given up on them. Whether he should stay back and whether he should go see her were now huge dilemmas for him. Beside him, Riley couldn't read his thoughts. She made a call to the number that Casey had found and sent her. "Hello? Is this Ms. Rebecca Rhodes? Hi, I'm calling from the
