Booyah

(Camilla’s POV) “Are you hitting on me?” I frankly asked, looking at him with disgust like I didn't just check him out earlier for being so hot. I was already thinking that he wouldn't accept money as a payment because he obviously looks like he can afford to buy a planet. He’s the type who seemed to have everything already that you’d get stress if you ever think of giving him a Christmas gift. Like what else could he possibly not have? Once again, he flashed a crazy handsome smirk on his face. I’m starting to think that he knows he looks good when does that. That's why he keeps doing it. “Ma’am, I’m not trying to hit on you, I just thought you’re interesting,” he defended himself. I raised an eyebrow at him. “Besides, don't you owe me? Why don't you just pay the debt so we can move forward? I don't have all the time in the world. I’m a busy guy.” If he’s so busy then why don't he just have greasy fried chicken delivered to his office? I put the cheque book back inside my purse. “So, do we eat here or what?” I asked boredly, a hint of impatience in my voice. I’m starting to regret getting help from him. He’s obviously so fucking demanding. This is why I hate asking for favors from people. They act like it’s an unpayable debt. Kalel prompted me to follow him to his car in which I did unwillingly. I don't remember the last time I got into a stranger’s car before. Since that incident with Cindy and Lester, I haven't really been able to trust anyone anymore. But I’ve been attending my boxing training so this rich guy is fucked once he tries to pull his tricks at me. For some reason, I didn't really feel the need to update Butler Jin about my current location. I don't want to say that I feel comfortable around this guy but… that seems to be the case. “Do you actually live here, or you're just here to manage your business?” I broke the silence in the car. The two corners of his lips lifted. “Are you interested in me now?” he playfully asked. I rolled my eyes, burying myself deeper in the passenger seat. I’m starting to regret agreeing to come with him. He’s so fucking full of himself. “I’m just kidding, beauty. Loosen a bit, okay? You're too tight. I swear, you’ll like the place,” he promised, a soothing sound to my ear. I have visited all the fancy restaurants inside and outside the City. I didn't like any of them so I don't know what he’s talking about. I might be a billionaire but I’m genuinely not a big fan of anything lavish. I’m just a simple girl. All I want is a bungalow house with a big tree in my front yard where I can do barbeque with my small and humble family. That's all I ever wanted. But I had to learn a luxurious lifestyle if I wanted to get my revenge. “We’re here…” he announced. I glanced at the view outside the window. My brows furrowed upon seeing where he decided to take me. It honestly didn't cross my mind. Why would he take me here of all places? “I’m literally wearing a piece of fabric,” I immediately complained before I even got out of the car. He looked at my clothes and smiled. “You’ll be fine.” Damn it. I was so distracted by him earlier that I had forgotten about my blazer in his restaurant. Now, I’m stuck with this whore-like outfit of mine and he has the nerve to take me into a beach date. It’s literally 23°C outside. Is he planning to freeze me to death? Kalel walked around to open the door in the passenger seat for me. “Come on,” he said. I clicked my tongue as I stepped out of the car with a frowning face. “You’ve never had a beach date before, have you?” he asked, a hint of confidence in his voice. He must have brought so many women here already and he likes to hear the same excited “Yes, it’s my first time!” from them. Just when I thought he’s different from the rest of the guys who have taken me to dinner before. They're all the fucking same. “Do you really think this is something unique? So many guys have taken me to a beach date before,” I lied, not wanting to feed his ego. He flashed a handsome smirk. “Are you pretending again just like how you pretended to have a fiancée?” I frowned at him. “Just take me to wherever diner you're taking me because I haven't got all the time in the world,” I irritatedly said to him. He gave me a sweet smile, his dimples showing on both of his cheeks again. I’m not going to lie. He looks so fucking cute when he does that. Have you seen a hot guy that looks cute when he smiles? Yeah, that’s him. “You look cute when you're mad,” he said. My cheeks heated at the unexpected compliment from him. I was genuinely expecting another arrogant rebuttal from him, not admiration. Am I losing on his game? “Do… Do you want me to walk out from here or what?” I mentally slapped myself from failing to maintain my composure. I can't believe I stuttered after a year of me building my confidence. Receiving compliments from different people is already normal to me. Why am I suddenly feeling shy from the stranger I just met? Whatever! I can't let him think that he has an effect on me. “Shut up!” I blurted, crossing my arms, and turning my heels against him to enter the beach. Kalel guided me to the cute blanket fort that seemed to be the actual theme of the restaurant. There were cute fairy lights and pillows that completed the look. It was just on the white sand but you wouldn't worry about getting all sanded because of the beautiful view in front. “The moon looks bigger than usual,” he remarked, looking at the shining rock in the night sky. “Quite romantic, yes?” he joked. I gave him a fake smile. He sexily chuckled while pouring me a drink. I’m not really aiming for a heavy dinner right now that's why I asked him if we could just have light meals. I’m having quinoa salad with roasted vegetables while he’s having grilled salmon with lemon-dill sauce. I genuinely wanted to try his food but didn't want to sound weird. I should have asked for seafood instead of vegetarian options. “Why would you help me?” I asked, my voice laced with a mixture of disbelief and curiosity. He could have just walked and pretended not to see what was happening. He didn't have to get involved. Kalel, his gaze fixed on me, leaned back against the headboard, a playful smirk dancing on his lips. "Because I find you attractive," he said, his voice a low rumble, a hint of mischief in his tone. I gave him a bored stare. I scoffed, my eyes narrowing. "You're just messing with me, right? Why would you go to all that trouble for someone you barely know?” “Because I find you intriguing, Camilla," Kalel replied, his gaze unwavering. "You're smart, you're strong, and you're not afraid to play the game. I admire that.” Here he goes again with his sudden compliments that I am not prepared for. “You don't know that…” is all I managed to say, drinking the champagne he had poured for me. He has no idea why I’m doing this and he’s not even bothering to ask me why. Doesn't he wonder why I am so eager to embarrass them both earlier? A stranger would think I’m the bad guy. “I know you very well, Camilla,” he seriously replied. I paused for a moment to look at him. He didn't dare to lose eye contact with me and met my gaze. We stared at each other for a while. What does he mean by that? I was about to ask him when I felt my phone vibrating inside my purse. “Excuse me.” I put the phone on my ears. “Hello?” A voice answered, it was Butler Jin, his voice crisp and professional as he reported. [Madam Camilla, the news is spreading like wildfire. Lester is on the front page of every news website, accused of infidelity. The public is eating it up. Your plan is a success.] My lips curved into a satisfied smile. Booyah…
