　　Serena's POV. 　　I jolted awake, my eyes snapping open to darkness. I wrapped myself tightly in the blankets, but my parched throat protested, forcing me to sit up. 　　My gaze darted to the clock, and I was shocked to see it was 2:00am. How had I slept for so long? 　　I tossed aside the covers and reached for the water jar, only to find it empty.
