When Dinah died, Rachel handled the transfer of the deceased's assets. She discovered that the majority of Dinah's assets had been left in Izaak's name. That was okay since Izaak was her son and he deserved it. However, upon investigation, Rachel also found out that when Izaak and Gabriella got married, they signed a conjugal partnership of gains agreement. The agreement basically meant that nearly all of the assets they brought to the marriage and acquired during the marriage would be owned by both spouses. Moreover, upon the dissolution of the partnership or marriage, in this case, the spouses would share equally all of the assets, except for some that were explicitly exempted by the law. Rachel couldn’t stomach the thought of the killer benefiting from her sister's hard-earned fortune. She couldn’t understand what was so bewitching about the ordinary girl that led Izaak to make a reckless decision. “You do realize you don’t deserve even a single cent from my sister,” Rachel seethed.
