Chapter 24: Did He Disdain Her?

As Eliana stepped out of the dressing area, she spotted Chase already dressed, surrounded by several saleswomen. One was adjusting his pants, another his sleeves, and yet another his shoes, making the scene more extravagant than that of an emperor. These sales were clearly being overly attentive due to Chase's appearance. Approaching them, Eliana raised her chin. "Does your store policy require three saleswomen for one customer?" The three saleswomen looked embarrassed and quickly nodded before hurrying away. Chase lifted his gaze to her. "Feeling jealous?" Eliana chuckled. "There's no need for us to discuss jealousy between us, it's irrational." She had principles in her actions, keeping emotions out of business dealings. "Help me with this tie," Chase handed her the tie. Eliana found this fitting for his lifestyle; he might excel in boxing but certainly not in tying a tie.
