Lucy's POV
Rain in the vampire world feels different. Every drop carries a symphony of scents—earth, ozone, and the metallic tang of city pollution. My enhanced senses picked up each individual splash as I walked through the midnight downpour, letting the water wash away the evening's training session with Cassie.
That's when I caught his scent in the wind.
"Following me now?" I called out, not bothering to turn around.
"Maybe I just enjoy the rain." Felix materialized beside me, water beading on his leather jacket. "Or maybe I knew you'd be here."
"How?"
"You always walk this route after training. Past the old cathedral, through the park..." His silver eyes glinted. "Creatures of habit, aren't we?"
I stopped walking. "What do you want, Felix?"
