CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE – PLAIGARISM
The next morning, Charlotte arrived at The Rusty Anchor early, her mind racing with ideas for their counter-attack. As she approached the pub, she stopped short, her mouth falling open in disbelief.
There, right across the street, was The Golden Mug's new sign. It was massive, gleaming with neon lights and featuring a holographic golden mug that seemed to pour endless beer. It made The Rusty Anchor's carefully crafted wooden sign look positively antiquated in comparison.
As she stood there, staring in shock, she noticed movement near The Golden Mug's entrance. Mark and a team of workers were setting up what looked like a state-of-the-art sound system.
Before she could stop herself, Charlotte marched across the street, her hands clenched into fists at her sides.
"Mark!" she called out. "What is all this?"
Mark turned, his face breaking into a wide smile. "Ah, Charlotte! Good morning. Like our new additions? We're really stepping up our game."
