Bailey seemed unfazed by Luna's behavior.
"Edward, everyone's here. Why don't we go ahead and sign the contract now? Would you like to come over for dinner after this? It'll be a great chance for us to catch up on everything that's happened over the years," Bailey suggested.
Luna snorted. "Ms. Norton, I'm his wife. Don't you think it's inappropriate to invite him personally right before me?"
Bailey pouted defiantly. "Ms. Sherwood, it sounds like you're lacking a bit of confidence."
Watching Luna and Bailey go back and forth was giving me a headache. I reached for the envelope and said, "Everyone's here. Let's get this contract signed."
I was startled to find the envelope already open, and in the next moment, I pulled out a stack of blank papers. A sense of unease washed over me as the room gradually descended into silence.
