CHAPTER 28 SUMMER INTERNSHIPS

The spring semester was a whirl of exams, projects and all-night cramming sessions. Soon enough, May came, and with it the warm days and freedom from the rigid structures of the studying process. Finally, when she was packing all her belongings in the dorm room, she had a feeling that was both exciting and sad. The year of freshman had been a year of hardships and success stories, it was odd to bid farewell to her new-found friends. Yet, there was restlessness just waiting to boil over as well. Jenna had landed an excellent opportunity for this summer; she was going to work for an environmental non-profit organization based in San Francisco. At the same time, it was an opportunity for her to practice in her line of work and she was looking forward to it.
