CHAPTER FORTY NINE – A NEW FRIEND

For the next hour, Sophia introduced Rebecca to the various amenities around the pool. They tried out the hot tub, sampled fruity mocktails, and even attempted a game of shuffleboard with some of the other guests. As they relaxed on lounge chairs, Sophia asked, "So, what brings you on this trip? Family vacation?" Rebecca hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "It's... complicated.
