CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE – A CAREFUL MOVE

Back on the streets, Rebecca felt a new sense of confidence in her disguise. They made their way through the town, Milo occasionally stopping to chat with locals in his fisherman persona, building their cover. As they rounded a corner, Rebecca's heart leapt into her throat. A group of plain-clothed officers were questioning passersby, showing photos. "Don't panic," Milo muttered. "Just keep walking and follow my lead." One of the officers approached them, holding up a photo. "Excuse me, have you seen either of these individuals?" Milo squinted at the photo, then let out a booming laugh. "Ah, mate, I can barely see my own reflection these days, let alone remember faces. But if I see any suspicious characters, I'll be sure to let the fine officers know!"
