Oh crap! Mel thought as she walked on, blabbering senseless words like Brent instructed. Her house was in view and she heaved a sigh of relief. She kept talking but Brent wasn't answering. She heard footsteps behind her but she didn't turn to look. To someone else, it looked like she was so engrossed in her conversation with the person that she didn't know she was being followed. She walked the normal pace till she got home. Breathing heavily, she locked the door in a hurry and went over to the window. She was about to draw the curtains when she spotted the guy who had been following her. He quickly hid behind the tree, the same spot she saw the silhouette of a man. So it was not her imagination, she had really seen someone there. "Oh my! " She exclaimed as she remembered the reason she went outside in the first place. Her mother! Turning around frantically, she spotted her mother in a worse state. Rushing over to her, she stooped to her eye level and examine her. " Mom! Mom! " She s
