The divorce process was very fast, just like the unsentimental receipt of our marriage certificate back then. I felt a sense of sorrow with the freshly released divorce certificate in my hand, but my emotions were quickly extinguished by Xavier's silence.
“I hope you don't regret it,” I said, holding the divorce certificate in my hand.
I looked at him with dead eyes, and flatly said, “I wish you and your next wife a hundred years of harmony and loneliness.”
Xavier frowned, “You want to die, don't you? Just because we’re already divorced doesn’t mean I can’t do anything to you anymore.”
I ignored him and walked out.
