Chapter 37

　　My flight was scheduled for 3 p.m. We had breakfast together. 　　“My car had to be repaired,” Marcus began. “The battery weakened the day after…that incident. This morning it died completely." 　　My car was bought recently so I’d have a convenient way to get around here in China. I don't use it much except for buying food in the morning. Today I am leaving, so naturally I didn't need to buy any groceries. 　　"Sure," I nodded. “You can keep it. Ill borrow it every time I want to go back home for a vacation.” 　　Today should be the last day I see his face. I loved him so much that I had to protect myself from him. I’ve been hurt over and over by this love I felt for him. 　　"By the way, how are you and Tom?" He suddenly raised his head and asked me, and when he mentioned Tom , his eyebrows frowned. 　　Marcus Mo has repeatedly asked about my marriage with Tom , and part of the reason I didn’t want to get back with him was because I was worried that he
