Amara was having dinner later that day when her phone screen lit up with a phone call.
A tight smile formed on her lips as soon as she read the name. She swiped right to answer the call and placed the device against her ear.
“Grandfather, good evening.”
“Hello Amara, Lorenzo told me about your recent decision. Do you really want to come home, child?”
“Yes Grandfather. Once I close the deal here, I’ll be home in a few days. I apologize for the trouble I’ve cost you in the past few years.”
Elvis sighed. “It’s alright, I’m just glad you’ve come to your right senses. As for your engagement with-“
