Amara, under Elijah’s constant insistence, was driven home by him that night. The ride home was quiet, but the constant glances and hand gestures from Elijah made sure it wasn’t awkward, but that didn’t stop Amara’s mind from roaming. She had made a decision, one she thought at first, would be best for everything, but later realized, was best for only her. She only had herself in mind when making that decision.
