Playing Her Games.
Amara was not the type to wake up easily. She loved sleeping, and would stay in bed for as long as possible, until forced out of it.
But today was different.
She woke easily to a dull ache at the back of her head. Her body hurt and her mouth was dry. She was also confused, for the first few minutes, not knowing where she was.
The room was dimly lit, and it took her eyes a while to adjust.
Eventually, as her eyes adjusted to the surroundings, her lips parted in surprise.
“What the hell…” She muttered, taking in the state of the room.
Everything was torn down, and the walls were stained with brown mold, while the windows were caked with grime.
It was almost as if she had just stepped into an abandoned building.
Where the hell was she? She thought.
The last thing she remembered was the picnic.
