Elijah was half way swallowing down whatever bull crap his father had to throw at him this time around, when he turned around and realized that the picnic blanket was empty and Amara was nowhere in sight.
Furrowing his brows, he looked around, hoping to spot Amara, but after a while, his search turned out void.
Did she go somewhere without informing him? Was it urgent?
Those were the first two thoughts that popped into his head, followed by the nagging feeling that something wasn't right.
"Elijah, are you listening to me?"
His father's voice cut through his thoughts, breaking him out of his reverie and back to reality.
"Yes," He responded, though his eyes and attention still were nailed on finding Amara. "I'm listening."
He added and turned around, a sigh of relief left his lips as he spotted the object of his affection standing in front of a nearby bush.
