During the evening study session, as everyone focused on their Einliese exam papers, the lights suddenly went out. A wave of excited chatter filled the room. "Haha, no more exams!" "Nice!" The Einliese teacher was frantically texting the senior teachers' group to figure out what had happened and soon found out it was just a power outage. The noise in the classroom continued to rise. The teacher turned on the flashlight on his phone, casting a faint light over the room, and tapped the desk with a ruler. "Quiet down! Just because the lights are out doesn't mean you can slack off on the exam." "Stella, use the class fund to buy enough candles and matches from the school store," the teacher instructed. "You can take a classmate with you." "Okay." Stella naturally called on her deskmate, Frederick. A collective groan rose from the students. "Do we still have to take the exam in the dark?" As the lights went out, Jonathan stopped writing his Einliese paper. He had just finished it
