Chapter 31
At the dinner table, Gregory thought for a moment before deciding to explain. "Adam, it's my failure as a parent that led Jonathan to cheat on his exam."
Frederick remained silent, quietly eating. At this point, speaking too much could only make things worse.
Adam glanced at both Gregory and Frederick with sharp, authoritative eyes, then asked, "Didn't Frederick just say the physics competition had strict proctors?"
Frederick's face changed slightly at the mention of that. He gripped his fork tightly and, with some effort, responded, "Yes, Jonathan must have scored that perfect score through his own ability. I still have a lot to improve, and I need to learn from him."
Frederick tried to use modesty to his advantage, showing Adam his humble and studious side.
Adam's expression softened a bit.
Gregory cursed Jonathan fiercely deep down.
