Chapter 6 Plan to Take Him
Tamara tilted her head in confusion. What was wrong with this man? She had not done anything. Why was he calling her a scheming woman?
She sprung up from her seat. The sudden action twisted her ankle, and she flailed her arms around trying to steady herself. She finally found her balance leaning against a warm chest.
She could feel the firm muscles beneath her palm along with his heartbeat. Tamara blushed furiously. Just when she was about to let go, a hand caught her wrist.
The grip on her was strong, and it felt like her bones were about to break.
"What? It’s only been a few hours and you're already planning to throw yourself in my arms?" Sebastian's cold voice sounded from above her. Tamara wanted to take her hand back, but Sebastian was too strong for her to fight against.
She looked up and came face to face with Sebastian's unforgiving gaze. She hit him with her other hand.
A cold aura surrounded Sebastian. "Why are you holding your tongue?"
Tamara stared blankly at him. Ms. Thompson had just walked down and was surprised to hear what Sebastian said. "Mr. Lynch, don't you know she's mute?"
Sebastian paused. What? Mute?
Thinking back, it was true that Tamara had not spoken a single word. Could it be… that she was really mute?
Sebastian gave Tamara a judgemental look. Tamara bit her lip and furrowed her eyebrows.
She had given up her pride for her family.
But the bride he was being forced to marry was mute?
Sebastian did not take the news well. He let go of Tamara and left the villa.
"What…" Ms. Thompson was confused over what had happened.
Sebastian was the one who brought Tamara home, but he didn't know she was mute?
What was going on?
Suddenly, the phone in the villa rang.
Ms. Thompson went and picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Hello, Ms. Thompson. It's me." Yareli's tired voice sounded from over the phone.
Ms. Thomson replied politely, "What are your orders?"
"Sebastian brought a girl home. Her name is Tamara Simmons. She's pregnant with Sebastian's child. Take good care of her. We'll deal with her after she has given birth to the child," Yareli said coldly. Her distaste for Tamara was as clear as day.
Something clicked in Ms. Thompson’s head. "Understood."
After she hung up the phone, Ms. Thompson finally knew what was going on. However, when facing the innocent-looking Tamara, Ms. Thompson couldn't bring herself to hate her.
"Follow me, please, Miss Simmons."
Tamara nodded and followed Ms. Thompson to the second floor.
Ms. Thompson brought Tamara to a bedroom and opened the door. She asked, "Miss Simmons, you'll be living here from today onward. We'll discuss more when Mr. Lynch comes home, okay?"
Tamara never thought a kind and gentle housekeeper would be working for that cruel man. She smiled and nodded.
Ms. Thompson left. Tamara entered the room and went straight for the bed.
She looked down and caressed her stomach.
There was a new life forming inside her. Even though she didn't like the child, she couldn’t escape from it.
If the Lynch family wanted the child, she'd give birth to the child. Then, she’d leave.
With a plan in mind, Tamara got up and left her room. When she found Ms. Thompson, she took out her phone and typed, "Is there a printer here?"
