Chapter 7 Sorry but not sorry

Dylan POV I watched Amelia running away and thought about what she said, What does she mean by my family ruin her life? Is she trying to blame my family?. Have I been selfish? I ruffled my hair and walked back into the hall. The party was already coming to an end, I could see couples dancing but I couldn't see Amelia anywhere. Where is she? I looked around to see if I would see her but I couldn't. I saw Larry walking up to me, I smiled at him but he slammed his fist into my nose before I could say anything. "What the heck"? I groaned as I touched my nose as red liquid flows out. " what do you want with Amelia? Haven't you already ruined her life, why did you keep hurting her?" He shouted and punched me in the face. I didn't fight back because I knew I was at fault but I didn't ruin her life instead she ruined mine. "Why? You are angry because she broke your heart too"I teased and watched his expression, he looked angry. The remaining guest as they watched the argument between Larry and myself. They began to whisper but I couldn't care less because I deserved Larry's punch. Sophia and Tyler walked up to us and stepped in between us. " Larry that enough, let talk somewhere private. The guests are beginning to tare" Sophia said and dragged Larry behind her. We all went outside and began to argue." Larry, why did you punch him? Now he is bleeding, are you alright Dylan?" She asked me and touched my face." Both of you are idiots, stop acting like kids " she scolded. "Dylan is the idiot" Larry glared at me. " Why are you so mad at me" "Mad? I'm pissed, I feel like punching your stupid face so that you can finally see well after getting a face surgery!" Larry threatened. "What did you do to Amelia, she came to grab her purse a few minutes ago and left without talking to any of us but from her expression, I could see she was crying and her hand was bleeding " Sophia explained and gave me a 'did you hurt my friend look' "I didn't do anything, we only talked about few things, and then she left," I told them but Larry had a hard time believing me. He didn't believe me at all. " oh really! She was with you, Dylan!" He shouted. " who else was going to make her cry if not you? tell us what you did. " Larry sneered. "Oh, so you think I hurt her?" I asked and he nodded. " what the fuck? I didn't do anything, we only talked" I groaned in frustration. Tyler finally spoke up after minutes of glaring at me. "She doesn't have a ride and at this hour I don't think she would see a cab. She looks hurt when she came to grab her purse" "When did she left?" I asked him "A few minutes ago, I'll go after her." Tyler offered. " you guys enjoy the party," Tyler said and was walking away when I grabbed his hand. "I'll do it Tyler, I'll look for and take her home" "So you can make her cry more, no thanks. Tyler go look for her" Larry instructed and got slapped on the back by Sophia." what? it the truth babe". "Dylan, go look for her, and please don't do anything bad to her," Sophia said sounding concerned. "Sure Sophia I'll take her home safe and sound. please tell my mother I already left". I left them and went to where my car was parked and drove off into the street looking for Amelia. This is all my fault, I thought I'll be happy if she was hurt but I was wrong. ** Amelia POV I cried as I walked in the night. The street was silent but cars were passing by on the road. I hold my heels in my hands as I continued to cry. it was already late but I didn't care, all I could think of was what Rebecca said to me. *EARLIER* "What is your wretched self doing here," Rebecca asked glaring at me like she wanted to kill me. "Rebecca" my voice shook as I called her name, I was trembling in fear because I was afraid of this woman standing in front of me. She is evil. "I asked You a question Amelia brown, have you turned deaf like your mother ?" she mocked and began to laugh " how is Luciana? by the way how is she coping with her deafness ?" She mocked again and it got me pissed off "Don't you ever make a mockery of my mother" I yelled but she only laughed and then she slapped me hard on my face. "What are you going to do Amelia? You are a weak girl, you couldn't even tell my son about what happened because you are weak" she laughed and faced me. she raised my chin and began to laugh." I thought I told you to stay away from my family, your mother's accident isn't enough right? Maybe I should just kill her" she threatened. I pointed a finger of warning at her "don't you dare touch my mother". " then leave my son alone, he is engaged to someone else. Dylan does not belong to your class I thought I made that clear years ago. Why are you going after someone who doesn't want you? He hates you now Amelia because I made him hate you. I can do anything I want because I am his mother " she clearly stated to put me in my place. I didn't know why I couldn't say anything. why was I so scared of this woman? " stay away from Dylan or I'll make you " she threatened and walk out of the washroom. When she left, I Punched the Wall hard which result in my knuckles bleeding. I looked at the mirror and began to cry, I am a weak woman like Rebecca had said. "Why are you weak?" I yelled to the mirror .someone entered the washroom and gave me a pathetic look, I wipe the tears off my face and walked out. When I got to my table, I picked my purse and left in a hurry without speaking to Larry or Sophia and they all stared at me including Tyler. I burst into more tears as I ran out of the hall. I don't care about the stupid party anymore, I am going to leave Blackstone. I am going to leave this city and go to where that woman can't find my mother and me. *PRESENT TIME* I continued to cry not caring if anyone was looking or watching me. A car horned beside me but I ignored it, the car horned again and I lost it. "What do you want from me? And stop horning like an old lady" I yelled at whosoever the driver was. The driver came out of the car and walked towards me. "Amy" the voice called, I knew who it was but if he calls my name again I might kill him. " Amelia listens to me, I'm sorry for saying all those shit to you. I'm sorry for judging you and calling you names" he apologized but I pay no attention to him. "Don't come close cause I might kill you". " Amelia please, I'm sorry" "Sorry? Your sorry doesn't change a damn thing D" I said calling him by the nickname I gave to him years ago." your sorry also sucks, maybe you should go to school to learn more about the word sorry" I shouted "Amelia, you are the only one I know who tells jokes in a serious matter" he chuckled but I ignored him and walked away not bothering to argue with him because he wasn't worth it." Amelia " he called my name and ran after me, he grabbed my hand and pulled me into an embrace." I'm sorry" he begged, I punched him on the chest because he doesn't get to hurt me and apologized. "Leave me alone Dylan, leave me alone" I screamed and tried to break free from his embrace but he didn't let go of me then he did something I never expected, he kissed me. Oh my world, Dylan Blackstone, my boss kissed. The only guy I have ever loved was kissing me. I thought he said he hates me. Why was he kissing me? Am I a joke to him? I bit his lip and pushed him away. "How dare you kiss me you Buffalo" "I'm not sorry I kissed you because it is what I have wanted to do ever since you came to my office" he confessed and pulled me closer then he kissed me again. This time I responded to the kiss. I could see the moon and stars smiling as we kissed. fireworks were shooting in my head, I forgot all about Rebecca's threat, I felt like I was melting away, his lips were so soft and he was a good kisser.
