Chapter 6 Problem unsolved

Amelia POV I rolled, yawned, and stretched my body. I opened my eyes to the brightness and look around. Fuck I don't have a white-colored bedroom. Where the fuck am I?. I look around again and jump out of the bed. The bed was neatly laid and the room looks beautiful .my room is not as beautiful as this. I heard voices coming from the house I was in, I could hear two people arguing and it sounded like a male and female's voice. I walk downstairs and saw Anna and Dylan arguing. They stopped arguing and turn to look at me. "You bitch, what the fuck do you want?"Anna walked to me and slap me before I could reply again." What do you want from him? You whore!" she snapped and pulled my clothing. "That enough Anna, leave her alone." Dylan grab her arm and pulled her away. "What the fuck is wrong with you Anna? I thought I told you that she was asleep when I bought her to my house last night" Dylan said softly. "Oh really! Why didn't you leave her on the street and let her rot there" she yelled and glared at me. I couldn't do anything, I just look down and hold back the tears that were threatening to fall "Anna please believe me I love you and I will never do anything to hurt you okay, she was asleep last night and I didn't know her address so I bought her here" he begged her and hug her. I couldn't stare at them, from Dylan's words I knew he loves the girl and I was a threat to them. "Tell her to leave cause her presence is infuriating me" she shouted, Dylan, turns to look at me. "Please leave Amelia, we will see in the office later" Dylan stated I couldn't leave without saying anything, this is not me. I walk to Anna and point at her. "Listen here bitch the next time you raise your hand at me I will destroy your face," I told her and walked away after gathering my belongings. I was really angry that he choose her over me but who am I to judge, I left him years ago and Anna was by his side. When I got home, I met my mother watching her favorite movie on the TV, she looked happy. Even though she couldn't hear what they were saying, she could read their lips. I hugged her and cried. "Are you okay?" she asked but I continue to cry, she touches my hair and began to brush it with her hand. When I stop crying, I look at her and she gave me a confused look." where were you last night?, I texted you but you didn't reply, I was worried, Amelia ". " mum I was at Dylan's " I blurted out and she gasped. "Amelia, what were you doing with him? You remember what happened years ago. His family is the reason am deaf" she signs angrily. "Mum I am sorry, Dylan doesn't know anything and if he does it will break him" I replied to her but she was still angry. "You keep supporting him Amelia, why don't you tell him how evil his mother is?" "Mum, how will I feel if someone calls you evil?" I asked her and waited for her answer. "You will feel bad but not in this case, I lost my hearings because of her. She is evil Amelia, look for another job please .dododododon't work with those people" she begged. "I wish I could mum, I want you to hear again and your medical bills are not up to half, am doing all of this so you could hear again, " I told her and she sighed. "Be careful Amelia, I don't wanna lose you too" she sign and hug me." I wish I could work so you don't have to stress yourself, I love you, my child" "I love you too mummy" we both hug ourselves. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Annual party Today is the annual party for the company and it has to be a busy day. The party was going to start at 9 in the night but I have been in the venue since 7 am. The planning committee was really helpful, the hall was decorated beautifully with a white and gold color, chandeliers and flowers were hung at the center of the table. The hall looks beautiful and colorful. I smiled at the hall and knew we did a wonderful job. "Beautiful right?" One of the planning committee members whose name is Tyler said beside me. I nod and continue to look at the hall." Would you mind being my date to the party"? Tyler asked politely and waited for an answer. "Of course Tyler, it would be my pleasure " I replied and he jumps up and dances. "I'll pick you up by 8:30 " he grinned and I nod, I gave him my number and address. "I'll be waiting for you then," I said and walk away, I supervised all the work and when I was contented with what I have done I went home around 5:30 pm. When I got home, my mum had made everything available. "Here Amelia, wear this dress. I kept the dress for you seeing you would need it one day" she gave me a beautiful red dress and I quickly hug her. "Thanks, mum, I love you" she smiled and gave me a necklace and matching earrings to compliment the dress. "I bought this a year ago, I wanted to give it to you but I think now is the time," my mother said and gave me the dress, I cried and hug her again. "Go get ready baby, I'll give you a makeover that will make guys go crazy for you" I laughed at her words "mum no guy is going to go crazy for me,? am plain old me" I started but she didn't angry. "Never say never baby, go take your bath and get ready for Lucy's makeover" she joked and I laughed. A few minutes later, I was done with my bathe. I sat in front of the mirror as my mother began her makeover, after an eternity she was done. " now look at the mirror pretty," my mother said and I stare at the mirror. A beautiful lady was staring back at me, my mother did a great job. "I'm this pretty?" I asked and my mother nod." wow thank you mother" she smiled. "Go get ready baby" she sign and walk out of my room. I wore the red dress and the accessories and stare at the mirror again. I looked pretty, I picked my black heels from my closet and wear them .now am ready!!!! . the doorbell rang and I ran to the living room to open the door. " Hey Tyler, come in am almost done," I told him to come in but he was just staring at me." What?" I asked him wondering why he was staring, do I look ugly? "you look amazing, gorgeous, beautiful" he complimented and kiss my hand. "Thank you, I'll just pick my bag and we will be on our way," I told him and walk to my room when I return I saw my mum." oh you have met my mum" I inquired and he nods" she is deaf so she can't hear you, " I told him thinking he was going to say something bad or mock her but he smiled and said. " my grandmother is deaf so I can sign" "Oh alright, mum I'll see you later" I kissed her cheeks and waved at her." have fun" she mouthed. Tyler opened his car door for me like a gentleman and I entered smiling. We reached the venue at exactly 8:40 pm, I was late because I am in charge and I need to keep things in order. Tyler and I entered together holding hands. "Smile for the camera Amy" Tyler whispered. we both pose for pictures, just as we turn to leave Dylan and Anna made their appearance. They both came in a limousine, Dylan wore a black Armani while Anna wore a white mermaid v dress. They both look good as a couple, they pose for pictures and made their entrance. "Welcome Sir" I greeted him but he didn't reply, he stares at me then look at Tyler who was holding my hands. "Who is he," he asked, Tyler was going to reply but I cut him off. "Tyler my date," I said smirking at him. Anna gave me a disgusting look. "How did you get that dress because I know you can't afford it" she mocked I gave her no reply and look at Dylan." sir please I will lead you to your table "I announced and walk away with Tyler. I lead him to his table and walk away to my table with Tyler. " don't let her get to you, she is just jealous of your beauty"Tyler joked and we laughed. Dylan cleared his throat because his chair was opposite mine and was staring at each other. A few minutes later, the guest began to arrive. the directors came over to congratulate me. "I'm must say am an impressed lady but watch your back," the director of finance said and walk away. "You did an amazing job, Amelia, I love your dress it's beautiful" Sarah complemented and walk away to her table. The guest began to floor him just then I saw my nightmare entering the hall. Rebecca Blackstone entered the hall elegantly and smiled at the camera, she holds an older woman's hand. They both walk to where Dylan's table was and sat on the chair. I put my head down because I couldn't look at her. "Are you okay?" Tyler asked beside and I gave him a nod. The party began and Dylan began his speech, when he was done they all clapped for him. "Amy, amelia brown!" Someone called my name and I turned to look at the voice."I knew it was you when I saw your hair" Sophia my long-term best friend said and hug me." Oh my God, you look amazing" she said and smiled. "Sophia, wow you look pregnant and good tho" I chuckled as I stare at her bulging stomach, she touched her stomach and smile. "Yeah am pregnant, five-month pregnant " she announced ." Larry and I got married a year ago, I wanted to invite you but I lost contact with you," she said sadly. "Larry Banks?" I asked to make sure because Larry banks are Dylan's best friend back then cause I don't know about it now. He is like a brother to me and only he knows the truth about what happened years ago."wow, your dreams finally came true " I joked and we both laughed. Sophia had fallen in love with Larry the first time she saw me and as I good friend I hooked them up together and now they are happy." am happy for you Sophia" I hugged her again, Tyler cleared his throat and I turn to face him. "Forgive my manners, Tyler this is Sophia my friend, and Sophia this is Tyler my date" I introduced them and they both shook hands. "Pleasure to meet you Tyler," Sophia said sweetly. "Same here, I must say you look amazing " Tyler complimented. "Oh really, say that again and I'll Punch your face," a voice said and we all turn to look at the person. "Oh my God, Larry" I screamed and hug him. I missed him. "Hello Amy bear, how are you?" He asked as I hugged him. "Am good, so happy to see you, Larry." I beamed and hug him again. "Who is he?" He pointed at Tyler "That's Tyler Amelia's date be nice to him" Sophia shouted at me and slap his back. "Sorry babe, hello Tyler" he shook hand with Tyler and tighten his grip. "Am good" Tyler groans in pain, they both exchange looks, and then Larry finally leaves his hand. We all sat down and talk about the memories of ourselves that we missed. " but am still pissed Larry, you could have sent me an invitation " I frowned. "Don't frown Amy bear, you will look ugly" Larry jokingly said and we all laughed. "Larry and Sophia" a voice called and I knew who it was. "Dylan Blackstone" Larry called his name and they both hug. "Glad you could come, hi Sophia" he waved and Sophia waved back. "Hi, you must be Larry am Anna, Dylan's fiancee" Anna introduced herself and shook hands with Larry, Sophia didn't bother to greet her, she gave her a bad look when Larry introduce her, that my girl I thought and smiled. "Thanks for coming bro, I appreciate it. I have to meet the other guest, Amelia let's go" he called my name, I looked at him and sneered. What the hell is wrong with this man? "Why me? Anna can escort you, I am having a bonding time with my friends and I also have a date" I stated angrily "You are in charge of this party and you are my assistance so I need you to escort me to greet the guest," he said glaring at Tyler. What is his problem? Is he bipolar or what? "Fine, Sophia we talk later okay. Larry, you owe me a dance, Tyler I'll be right back' I told all of them and walk away with Dylan and Anna. " is she going with us?" I asked looking at Anna who was clinging to Dylan's shoulder. No, Anna go meet mother and grandmother I'll come meet you soon" "Why her? I want to escort you " she shouted and people began to stare at us. I could see Rebecca staring at us, this is what I was trying to avoid Rebecca's attention" " don't cause a scene here Anna, go" he ordered and Anna obeyed like a lost puppy and walked away to Dylan's table. Dylan took me to all his business partners, he introduced me to some and he didn't to some. He walked outside and I followed him. "Why are we going outside sir," I asked wondering why we were going outside because they were no guest outside .without replying Dylan pushed me and pinned me against the wall. "Who is Tyler to you, Amy?" He asked sounding jealous. "What the fuck is wrong with you Dylan, I'll go out with whosoever I want. And it none of your business who Tyler is to me" I yelled at his beautiful but wicked face. " It became my business when you started working with me. " "No rule said I shouldn't date " I replied him but he only laughed."what funny?" "You are funny Amy, I don't want to see you with Tyler again" " you can't tell me what to do, you are not the boss of me" "Oh, you've forgotten that am your boss, cut all ties with him and stop whoring around. I don't want you going about and breaking other people's hearts, you deserve to be single for the rest of your life" he mocked, I pushed him away angrily and he stumbles. " Coming from someone who replaces me the second I left, you don't tell me what to do Dylan. I'll date whosoever I want and go out with whosoever I want. It's none of your business, stay away from my life Dylan and stop poking nose into my affairs. Don't you hate me already? haven't you made my life miserable enough? You and your family ruined our lives!! " I shouted at the top of my voice and quickly covered my mouth at the last sentence I said. I didn't want him to know anything. "What do you mean by my family ruin your life? What are you trying to say?" He asked me and waited for my answer but I gave him no reply. "Stay away from me Dylan," I said and ran away from him, I ran into the bathroom and cried. I look at the mirror and wipe the tears off my face. Just then someone walked in and stand beside me. "What is your wretched self doing here?" A voice said and I didn't bother to look because I knew who was Rebecca Blackstone, Dylan's mother, and my nightmare.
