Susie asked, "What's going on here?" She pushed aside Victoria's hair to expose the clear mark. "Don't tell me that it was Leon who did this." Victoria instinctively raised her hand to touch the marks, realizing too late that they had left a visible trace. Seeing her reaction, Susie immediately deduced the truth. "It really was him?" "Yeah," Victoria admitted. "That bastard! He's out there with Eva, and then he does this to you?" Susie fumed, cursing him. "What a scumbag!" Victoria couldn't help but agree. Susie was seething with anger. She wanted nothing more than to castrate him. After a pause, Victoria decided to bring up something that had been on her mind. "There's something I need to discuss with you." Susie was endlessly patient with her. "Go ahead." "I'm probably going to need to crash here for a bit. I still haven't found a new place, and I can't go back there." Although they were best friends, Victoria preferred to ask first. It was the most basic form of respect.
