CHAPTER 7 meeting up with Mr. Ex-boyfriend

Closing his eyes, Wulvric exhaled intensely and pressed his thumb to his forehead. His blood-red eyes twinkled with murderous intent and amusement. As the King of the Cador clan and Black Wolves, his immense power commanded the respect of even the clan's revered elders. No one in the aristocratic world of humans would dare to provoke him, not even the white wolves. The girl's behavior was unprecedented. No living being has ever treated him in such a manner. Not only had she dared to mock his power, but she had the temerity to curse at him with no fear and then leave! King Wulvric's anger exploded. His eyes narrowed, and a furtive grin formed on his lips. He had estimated dozens of ways to torture the girl, to punish her for her insolence. A game had begun. The hunt was on and he is the hunter. He would find her, and she would pay dearly. This time, her trials for escape would be feeble. He would allow her to run and play her games, but in the end, she would be his. Her encounter with him has sealed her fate. With that thought running through his mind, King Wulvric felt a chill of excitement run down his spine. This was the thrill of the chase, the anticipation of victory. His blood sang with it, and he craved more. King Wulvric straightened his posture back to the king he was and gazed out the window, his eyes as cold and dark as a winter's night. He was a predator, and his beautiful prey was out there, waiting to be caught. It was only a matter of time. King Wulvric settled back in his bed, crossing his long legs and steepling his fingers under his chin. A slow grin appeared across his face. The hunt was on, and he relished the challenge. She must be his and he would savor every moment of his victory. The thought filled him with satisfaction and a sense of power that he had never felt before. The purity in her blood was simply exquisite. "Find that woman and bring her to me" ************^************* Elodia finally woke up from her deep sleep. She was surprised to see that it was already morning and that Victoria was looking at her with an odd expression. "Hey, sweetheart, you're finally up! I thought you were going to sleep the whole day away!" Theresa said teasingly, sitting on her bed. Elodia groaned. She had no ounce of memory of the previous night's events, but she suspected that she must have drunk a bit too much. "Oh gosh… the heck did I do last night?" Elodia asked, covering her face in embarrassment. "Oh, you horny monkey, you were quite the party beast!" Victoria said with a flirty wink. "You were dancing, singing, and chatting with everyone in the bar. The hilarious part was when you started telling everyone your life story and that you're a virgin, and you were so honest that I couldn't help but laugh!" Elodia's face turned even redder as she listened to her friend's tale. She did what? There was no recollection of any of it, but she could deny everything for she was not a party and extroverted person. Victoria burst out laughing, holding her stomach at the shocked look on my face. "Oh, don't worry, it was a joke" she laughed hysterically. "But you did have an adventurous night! Or should I say one-night stand!" Victoria smirked. "I could tell from afar that the man had a good physique! Come on, tell me, was he good in bed too?" Elodia blushed at the mention, her face reddening in embarrassment. She couldn't remember what happened last night. Dammit, she couldn't even remember the guy's face. She shook her head in frustration, "Sorry Vicky, I must have been too drunk to remember anything" Did she have a one-night stand with a stranger? Pausing for a moment, she remembered the soreness in her body and nodded: "But he must have been strong to make me feel like this!" Victoria laughed hysterically. Her face filled with happiness before turning into confusion and shock. "My God Elly, what happened to your arms" she asked, softly pulling my hand to her lap. Thinking about it now, her arms burned, searing like it was on fire. A huge bite mark blistered over her slim forearm, underneath her thumb. "Did a dog bite you last night?" Victoria asked worry laced in her tone. Elodia scrunched up her face in confusion. She couldn't remember where she got bitten or what bit her. The mark was too large to be a dog. "I…..I don't know" She stammered in answer, touching the huge bite mark. "Well let's get you stitched up. That must be one big dog that caused that". Victoria took some bandages and spirit, applying it to the wound. Elodia hissed at the pain. "Shhh, don't be a baby" Victoria joked. "And today, it's our graduation ceremony" she jumbed excitedly. "Get your beautiful ass out of bed and get dressed," Victoria said, walking out of the room. "And find something that would cover the injury on your hand". Elodia laughed at her friend's enthusiasm. She stood up and walked towards the Mirror. Besides her pale skin and the huge bite mark on her hand, nothing seems out of the ordinary. The burning sensation of the bite mark has long since faded, only slight throbbing could be felt. "Why couldn't I remember anything that occurred yesterday?" She whispered to herself. Two figures walked into the hall where the graduation ceremony was held. All attention turned to them but more on a specific figure. Draped in an intricate long red spaghetti dress that accentuates her curves, and a long tear that showcases her pale long legs. She excludes an air of charisma that demands attention. Her eyes twinkled with mischief and her rosy lips painted in a seductive shade of crimson. She was the epitome of beauty and sophistication. She was a girl who knew the extent of her beauty and knew how to show it. Elodia walked with pride and sat in the second-row seat. She became nervous knowing she had to see Xavier again. She kept on tugging at her nails. A slap to the hand stopped her action, "stop that, you'll destroy your nails" Victoria said, looking worriedly at her best friend. "If he disturbs you, I promise to make him wish he was dead" Elodia smiled gratefully at her friend but that didn't seem to ease her mind. Unconsciously, her eyes began to search for something or rather someone and then settled on an extremely extraordinary man. His fair face was sharp and well-defined, ostensibly sculpted according to the golden ratio. His deep brows and eyes were always full of affection and moisture. Underneath his long and thick eyelashes were a pair of pure light gray eyes. If the sunlight reflected on them at a unique angle, they would emit a faint golden luster, looking as sacred as a saint, unattainable. His tall nose made him look very noble, especially... every time he kissed her forehead, his nose would rub against hers, giving her a tingling sensation as if being electrified. It was Xavier….. And his eyes were trained directly on her.
