Chapter 50 I'll Keep My Promise
I nodded. "It's true."
Gregory and Mary instantly went silent and exchanged glances with one another.
Mary suddenly asked, "Do you really have proof, or did you make that up? How could William do something like that? I may be his mother, but even I can't stand how biased he is toward you."
I smirked. "You have to ask William yourself. I'm sorry. I have errands to run, so I'll be leaving now."
I had nothing else to say. After all, it was almost time for me to pick up Gary from school.
Seeing that I was about to leave, Rose hurried over. "Don't worry, Eleanor. I'll keep my promise."
"Thanks." As I drove off, I watched Mary tugging at Rose through the rear-view mirror, and Mary kept pointing in my direction. I guess she wanted Rose to tell her more about what happened between me and William.
Rose kept talking, looking very agitated. I had no idea what she said to Mary.
Finally, I arrived at the kindergarten to pick up Gary.
"Mommy." Gary threw himself into my arms. "You're here
