Hunter scrubbed at his hand like he had touched something filthy. He kept rubbing until his skin turned raw and red, only stopping when the pain forced him to. Then, with a look of pure disgust, he shoved Rowan away. Suddenly, something clicked in his mind. His eyes darkened. They locked onto her with a deadly glare as he growled, "It was you! You sent those photos to Estrella. You kept provoking her, pushing her over the edge. You forced her to leave me!" He continued, "Rowan, I warned you. I told you to stop. And yet, you still dared to cross the line!" His voice dropped, making him sound cold and sharp. "I'm going to kill you." Like a starving wolf, Hunter lunged at Rowan, his hand clamping around her throat. She struggled and pounded her fists against him, but it was useless.
