I thought about my past with Dixon before I left the house.

After some pondering, I explained, “I’ve thought of this, Dixon, about how life would be if I’d stayed with you. I thought I’d be happy too, I guess? Another type of happiness, I mean. Nowhere near the happiness I’m experiencing now. Perhaps I feel I’m the most contented now, so I’m not seeking anything
