Chapter 3

Xander finally gets a clear look at the woman. Among the women he had encountered, she was indeed unique. She couldn't be called beautiful, but she emanated an air of cold arrogance from her very bones. Her chin was pointed, her almond eyes slightly squinting, and her thin lips formed a stubborn curve. However, her collarbones were indeed attractive. Wet hair clung to her body, and that nightgown... his breathing became heavier. “What did you say?” Perhaps due to the influence of the drug, Eliza's voice sounded somewhat odd. Was she playing dumb? Since one was willing to buy and the other to sell, wouldn't it be over once he had his way with her? He chuckled coldly and began to undress without hesitation. Seeing him start to undress, Eliza felt scared. What was happening? She was supposed to replace Lila in the catwalk, how did she end up in a pool? And who was this man? With her hand over her chest, she strode towards the edge of the pool. She clumsily climbed to the shore, the heat instantly started to spread to every corner of her body. She stumbled and started to fall forward. "Falling into my arms?" Xander grabbed her hand from behind and pulled her into his embrace. She smelled surprisingly good - the fresh type without the heavy and fake fragrance of perfume. Eliza couldn't hear what he said clearly. She wanted to push him away, but her arms and legs felt as soft as a sponge, she ended up leaning entirely against him. Xander became convinced that she was faking her innocence. His contempt deepened. He dragged her towards the bed. Eliza fell heavily onto the bed. The soft and white feather quilt suddenly gave her the feeling of being on a cloud. Too lazy to remove her nightgown, he directly lay over her ...Afterwards, he remembered nothing. The light of early morning seeped through the large windows into the room. Eliza slowly opened her eyes, looking at this unfamiliar place. Every inch of her body felt as if it had been crushed and reassembled. She remained stunned for a long while before slowly sitting up. She turned her head in a daze, looking at the man sleeping beside her, a completely unfamiliar face. Racking her memories, her heart sank after what felt like an eternity. It dawned on her with the abruptness of a lightning strike. She had apparently gotten drunk last night and had...done something...with a stranger. Panicked, she leapt up and clumsily got dressed. By then, Xander had already awakened and was watching her frantic movements with furrowed brows. After she put on her clothes, she turned around and met the icy and mocking gaze of Xander. "That...don't talk, I wouldn't hear it even if you spoke. You don’t know me; I don’t know you either." Eliza swiftly ran her fingers through her messy long hair, pointing at Xander and quickly said, her tone as odd as yesterday. Xander watched her performance expressionlessly, used to the various tricks women pulled. This wasn’t anything new.
