ALEXIS'S POV
Pain.
That's what I have been feeling since what felt like an eternity to me. I don't think there was any bone left in me that didn't break before joining.
To say it was like nothing I had ever even imagined would be an understatement.
Taking a deep breath, I tried to even my labored breathing as the transformation was finally over with me present in the back of my mind.
"Alexis, are you okay?" I heard Ariana's voice, a little bit more prominent and clear than ever before, making me open my eyes in a haze as I rubbed my eyes to wipe the tears and clear my vision, which was a hell of a lot better than before.
"I think I will survive," I said in a hoarse voice before smiling softly, feeling too tired to even speak at the moment.
"Alexis, I know it might be too sudden given how we have transformed just now, but I have finally turned into my true form after so long, and I want to- I want to-" Ariana stopped, and I sighed with a shaky breath.
