CHAPTER 380: AN UNLIKELY FOE
George moved stealthily through the dilapidated building. Lorenzo was hot on his feet.
The air was thick with fear and apprehension, but they didn't show it. Their phone flashlight darted across an empty hallway, casting eerie shadows on the walls as they began moving in that direction.
"Fuck!" Lorenzo swore as he tripped over his feet and ran straight into George's back.
"Keep it down." George hushed before turning back around. The whole place seemed empty, and George was beginning to feel frustrated.
"I think we've just embarked on a wild goose chase," he heard Lorenzo mutter behind him, but they still didn't stop.
They both exchanged looks after they abruptly stopped in front of a box.
"Should we open it?" Lorenzo whispered.
George hesitated, then nodded.
"We should,"
Lorenzo sighed, his hand on his gun. "Ready when you are." he muttered, "What do you think it contains anyways?"
"We'll have to find out," George answered, then handed his phone to Lorenzo before leaning down
