CHAPTER 328: CAMP FIRE
Lauretta sat on a bench beside the serene lake, basking in the morning sun and grateful for the peace. The sun shone brightly, casting a gentle shadow over the water.
"I'm tempted to go for a swim," she mused aloud, "but I bet it won't be as cold as I'd like."
A smile spread across her face as she thought of Ryan. "Thankful he's here," she whispered, eyes fixed on the tranquil lake.
Suddenly, a familiar voice broke her reverie. "Hey babe," Ryan said, appearing beside her without a shirt, his eyes filled with affection.
Lauretta's smile widened. "Hey, darling." She greeted him with a kiss, feeling the warmth of his presence.
"I see you're enjoying yourself," Ryan chuckled softly, his gaze lingering on her.
"Yes, love! I wanted to go for a swim, but I think the water might be too warm," she admitted with a playful grin.
Ryan laughed and, without hesitation, launched himself into the lake. "Come on, scaredy-cat! It's perfect for a swim!"
