Chapter 30 A Tense Confrontation
Levi sat at his desk, his eyes fixed on the employee standing before him. He had asked Harry to remind him of her name before he dismissed Harry. Harry went home to his wife and kids while he was at the office to deal with this situation.
Rachel, one of their best marketing specialists, looked nervous. Her eyes looked around the room, especially at her boss, who was clearly angry. But what he was angry at was not clear to her at the moment.
"Rachael, Rachael. Racheal."
"Yes, sir?" She answered, wondering why he was calling her name repeatedly. He sounded like an African parent getting ready to discipline his erring child.
"Rachel, can I ask why you didn't wear your name tag today?" Levi asked, his tone firm but controlled.
Rachel drew in a sharp breath. She hesitated before speaking.
"I-I forgot, sir. It won't happen again."
