Chapter 65 Final Meal

The computer screen displayed only one word: Divorce! They were highlighted in red, bolded, and followed by an exclamation mark. Although Jaxson had long known that Elinor held no particular affection for him, and despite her unhappiness by his side, he thought their relationship had changed. He hoped that perhaps the idea of divorce could be postponed, pushed to a distant day when the topic need not arise again. However, Jaxson now realized that this hope had always been his alone. For Elinor, her goal remained unchanged, she wanted a divorce. When some people are pushed into a corner, their determination becomes unyielding. Jaxson knew this all too well, and his expression turned even grimmer. Taking a deep breath, he wanted to shake Elinor awake, to ask what she was really thinking. However, he knew Elinor's sincerity set her apart from others. She had always been transparent about her intentions—to divorce him and distance herself from the Adams family. He was aware of this,
