Chapter 06
As soon as the caregiver finished speaking, Sherry had already walked in.
Joana immediately let go of the caregiver, slowly lay back down on the hospital bed, retracted her gaze and refused to look at Sherry at all.
Sherry, who was directly ignored, was not upset. She waved her hand and turned to the caregiver, "You go out first. I need to talk to my sister."
The caregiver looked at the weak Joana, and said softly, "Mrs. Shen, I'll buy you something to eat."
When she heard the words "Mrs. Shen," Sherry's expression suddenly changed, and she glared at the caregiver ferociously, "Why are you still here? Go!"
After she finished speaking, she pushed the caregiver out with great force. She was very ruthless and even slammed the door hard behind her.
Joana was still lying motionlessly.
Sherry was very upset. She desperately wanted to see Joana's heartbroken appearance. She couldn't wait to choke this damn woman to death now.
"What? My dear sister doesn't want to see me? Joana, I came to visit you despite my illness," Sherry said as she deliberately pulled her hospital gown.
Joana still ignored her, her hands tightly clenched into fists as her nails pierced deeply into the palms of her hands, but the pain she felt was not even close to the heartache of what she had just gone through.
Upon seeing this, Sherry sat down in front of her hospital bed, stretched out her hand to pat Joana's face. She couldn't help but chuckle. With a bit of resentment in her eyes, she deliberately started teasing Joana, "Of course, it's normal that my sister doesn't want to see me. After all, in order to save me, Hansel asked you to give your blood which caused you to have a miscarriage. I'm so grateful for your help. Oh, that little nephew of mine was so sweet, he saved his aunt's life before he was even born—"
"Sherry!"
When she heard Sherry mention her child, Joana could no longer restrain herself. She glared at Sherry's face, gritted her teeth and said, "Don't mess with me! Get out of here now! I don't want to see you!"
"Oh, my sister, why are you screaming? You're scaring me. I haven't even recovered yet, I can't help but feel so scared!" Sherry stroked her chest softly as if trying to calm herself down, but her eyes were filled with mockery.
Upon seeing this, Joana snorted coldly, and said, "Sherry, it's just us here. There's no need for you to pretend."
The tip of Joana's nose turned red when she thought of her poor child. A trace of sadness appeared on her face.
Upon seeing this, Sherry was in a good mood for a moment. She raised her eyebrows, and continued, "Pretend? If you say so, then fine. But you understand now, don't you? Hansel has always loved me. Even if you have his child, he still won't give a damn about you!"
Hansel...
Hearing his name, Joana felt pain in her heart, as if a piece of her heart had been plucked out. She took a deep breath, tried her best to keep herself calm, and then pulled out a fake smile. Her stare was full of irony, "In any case, I am still the Mrs. Shen he married."
"Mrs. Shen?" These two words seemed to have stepped on Sherry's precious pride. Her face suddenly fumed with anger that she couldn't help but yell at Joana, "You bitch! If it wasn't for that stinking old man's undeniable approval of you, you wouldn't have had the chance to marry Hansel!"
