Grace put down her phone and pledged her loyalty to Oliver. "Darling, you know me—I love you most, and I'm always obedient. I would never sneak out behind your back."
Oliver glanced at his mischievous wife, too exasperated to even be angry anymore. However, it was as if fate had decided to play a trick on them.
The four of them ran into each other in the fondue restaurant's parking lot. Hazel looked at Grace while Shawn stared at Oliver, exchanging awkward glances.
"Why didn't you say you were coming to this restaurant?" Grace asked.
Hazel shrugged. "I didn't think we'd cross paths."
"The world is so big. We've been best friends for almost ten years, yet now you're suddenly my sister-in-law. What makes you think we'll ever run out of coincidences?" Grace countered.
Hazel shot back, "Then why didn't you tell me you were coming here?"
Grace paused before responding, "I guess I didn't expect us to be this in sync."
